The Waukegan Soup Kitchen is on Saturday, August 15 from 4pm to 7pm.  The team will go out for dinner afterward. Reach out to us by email at office@nrck.org or phone at 847-229-9500 for more details. 

Purim is a time to donate food to people in need. You have two opportunities to do so. We will be collecting food for the Ark’s suburban food pantry (see list of items needed below) and/or you can volunteer at Kadima’s next Waukegan Soup Kitchen date on Saturday 3/14/26 from 4-7pm. 

 We will collect food drive donations during the Shabbat service on March 6th or at the Rabbi’s Saturday morning class on March 7th. For those who want to participate in the food drive but are unable to personally drop off food, you may contribute via Amazon as described below.

Your next opportunity to volunteer at the Waukegan Soup Kitchen (914 8th Street, Waukegan) is 4-7pm on Saturday August 2nd. This is an opportunity to help local folks who are experiencing food insecurity. Our responsibilities include food prep, clean up and distributing bagged carryout food through a window similar to a fast food drive thru.
