Tatami is a fictional film, mirroring real-life events following the Iranian female judoka and her coach, who travel to the World Judo Championships in Tbilisi, Georgia intent on bringing home Iran’s first gold medal. This includes a possible match with an Israeli athlete, something that the mullahs prohibit.
